I have a question to which I can't find an reliable answer, and I realized that here might be someone who knows.
I found out that lewitzers are suitable for German riding pony breeding, but the sources tell that the breeding programme is very complicated and not all crossings of the allowed breeds are accepted.
Will lewitzer x holstein/hannover/other German warmblood be an acceptable German riding pony?

As far as I know, every Horse that is smaller than 150cm can be accepted as German Riding Pony. In my opinion (after reading an article about that) even a crossing of Fjordhorse and Haflinger could be accepted as GRP, but don't count on it.

I agree to Leila, that the studbook of GRP ist quite open. In some pedigrees you can find famous warmblood stallions, like Rubinstein or Donnerhall. Some country-specific (Bundesland) studbooks have their own philosophy and don't allow much "outsider-bloodlines". For Lewitzer the breedings program changed in 2005. Here you find more information (it's in German).

Hmm, German is just gibberish for me, could you translate the main parts of that page? (:
