I'm now talking of the dreams we see at night. What are the craziest horse dreams you've ever seen? I just saw kinda terrible one last night.
I was on a lesson at my riding school. I was given an enormous, dark bay thoroughbred mare. She was temperamentic impossible to handle - the second I got on saddle, she would go, and off we went first trotting out of the yard. Then we got to a park with trees in it and she took off in gallop. Somehow, there were enormous cross country obstacles on the way, and we jumped them all in a horrible speed, much bigger obstacles than I have ever jumped.
I had no problem in staying in saddle, but I was scared as we were many times about to crash on people or trees or just fall over in a too speedy turn. After she finally stopped, my teacher was there and she said: - My friend died a while ago when riding this horse. Gosh, I think I got a heart attack. - They were on a cross-country course... It happened on the last obstacle.
Then I woke up. Hope this one isn't a dream come true, I'm on a showjumping training course from monday 'til friday and yes, we'll go cross-country too : --o Luckily my riding school has no thorougbreds!

Oh my that doesn´t sound nice. Actually i almost never dream of horses (though i dream a lot or better said can allways remember a lot of dreams i had) but i think one reason is, that my riding life is just nothing to worry about. I have an own horse who is an 24year old haflinger gelding and a bit lazy, we make our daily train, cuddle a little bit and there is at no time anything special. and i think special things, those we think about a lot of time, are those we find in our dreams. i remember that the time i still took riding lessons i also dreamt of horses more often (like that i had to ride the horses i wasn´t able to handle the last time once again and so on) Oh acutally, i just remember one dream. I was in some wierd kind of middle-age-time and with some other people on my way from one town to another. Since there weren´t cars or something, we went there on horseback. at some point of the dream i look at my horse and realized that is was a haflinger, and i thought something like "oh god - you ride a haflinger every day, now is your chance to try something new, why don´t you do it?!" and the next moment the horse was a black warmblood but the rest of the dream wasn´t about horses any more.

My pony often appears in my dreams, but I can't really remeber a whole dream... I can just remeber that I once dreamed that for some reason his trail catched fire and I tried to hold him to draw the fire, but he knocked me over more or less, jumped into the air and disappeared... stupid dreams

Last night I saw a dream, where I was riding with my stepmother's horse. Bundy died on July, so that was kinda scary. So, we trotted trought the forest, where we usually go to walk with their dogs. Bundy was scared about everything, and he reared more than once... Then we came to field. It was very big. There was other horses in there. I came down from Bundy's back, and he putted his head down. He breathed to my hands, and looked me to my eyes. Then I saw that he's saddle was gone. Other horses haven't seen us. The grass was very green, almost neon green, and there wasn't any peoples. Then Bundy breathed to my hands again, and looked just like he would saying he's sorry. Then he walked to the field, and I tried to catch him, but he was just like air. When he walked centre of the field, I saw my friend's old horse, Sella. She died on march. Then I tried to go to them, but I can't. Then I understanded that that's some kind of horse's heaven. Bundy watched me last time, and then I wake up. Just like he would say good bye for me. I cried when he died. Like he would say that he's sorry.
(sorry my bad english)

fun thread!
The saddest dream I've ever had (I woke up crying) was about a little snowy-white shetlandpony. however, It's long story but I can tell it in short cuts:
In this dream, my BFF was a little white shetlandpony without name. My friends told me he didn't exist, but me and my BFF went out and travelled together around the world, until suddenly my friends caught me and brought me to a mental hospital. I asked them what they'd done to my BFF, but the doctors told me that the pony didn't exist. They put me on sleeping-medicine and before I fell asleep I could see (through a window) my little white BFF fighting for his life while doctors tried to tie him down and put him down (don't know the english word for it, kill him with a syringe I mean).
The last scene of this dream is myself, mentally ill, putting together a little play-landscape, and there, among the forever green trees, a little snowy white pony is grazing.
ugh. just thinking of this dream makes me sad. D;

thanks. That's only dream I can remember when I wake up. I loved him, so it was very hard to put him down. He felled down on spring, and he broke his leg. He never came healthy anymore. July he was so sick, that Laura has to put him down. Bundy was very intelligent and nice horse, so it was very hard.
