I know that in someone else´s opinion this might be a bit rush, but I´m actually aging my horses 1 year in 2 weeks. I think it suits me better since I´m never very patient...

I use CAS, which is agin system that Finnish sim horseracing organisation is using. It works so that 12 weeks = 1 year. Basicly that means that every week represents one month of real year. CAS-years are named whit roman numbers and this calculating started in december 2006 (right now it is may in CAS XX). Some of us don't count years but use the same system for aging. In racing stables we usually think that horse gains years in every january (regardless in which month it is born), but some people count years based on the birthday. Basicly you could put 84 days as "Yksi virt. vuosi kestää" -value here www.tulisielu.net/virtuaalisia/YIL.php and then type date of birth to following areas and count age of your horse from there. more about cas (in finnish) bittiponit.net/~laukkajaos/infopaketti.php?sivu=1#cas

zenji, yes that's the link. It might have some problems at times but should usually work, atleast for me it is working now If you mean the age image, that's not working. You don't even need to count anything but months - e.g. if a horse is born 14.4.2011, he's 1yo 14.5.2011 etc. It works that simply Every Finn knows what's VHKR, so the age is not necessary here.

I have my own aging. I count three/four weeks after the birth and that's the day when the pony is three/four depending is it a stallion or a mare. After that, I'll just race with the pony for a while, and when I feel like it, I take it of the races and some weeks/months after that I make it dead. So it's a very free aging system Generally my ponies live 2-3 IRL years I guess.

I just use the standard one year in sim equals one year in real life...my horses are all aged one year on January 1, lol. My mares usually have an 11 month gestation, but sometimes I do use the Horses Forever (our game) minimum of one month. Since I release a foal crop for myself at the beginning of the year only, I can be patient, lol.
